Believe it or not, I'm still here, waiting for fall, hoping for a little order to life.

As summer quiets itself, I find myself overwhelmed by the possibilities of life--at times so hopeful, and at other times so filled with worry about all the ways things can go wrong (How do I panic?  Let me count the ways...).

So I take solace in books, and in tea.  I am reading the new Jonathan Franzen.

And we've been watching football...

'Tis a simple life that I would not change a bit.

See you very soon.  I promise to be a better blogger in coming weeks.

**Please, no comments about the hopelessness of both of our teams.  Thank you.

  1. It is with regret that I also belong to the club that worries about all the ways things can go wrong. I do say that 95% of the things I worry about do not come true so my children should be grateful that I worry for them.

  2. As a former champion worry-wart, may I encourage you to try and break that terrible habit. There's an old saying that goes something like this, "Why worry, if you pray, and why pray if you worry?" Leo Buscaglia said, "Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy." So true. After many years of this dreadful habit, I finally learned to place my total trust in God. And since He's going to be up all night, every night, why not let Him worry about things? ;)

I'd love you to link up with me for Simple Pleasures some Thursday. We're a friendly bunch.
